Missions

Bringing the next generation of environmentally-friendly aircraft to market will require a drastic reduction in design, development and production stages, and the implementation of breakthrough technologies.

Funded by the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC), the ADAPTE project will develop a new approach to product/process pair design, involving all the players, departments and professions concerned, and exploiting data and knowledge on products and processes. It will require multi-criteria decision-support tools taking into account criteria from the 3 dimensions of sustainability.

As part of the ADAPTe project, Immersion aims to challenge its Shariiing collaboration platform to meet the needs of the industry of the future. The aggregation of data linked to the design, production, quality and maintenance of industrial products is a major challenge for the efficiency of factories. Shariiing’s ambition to break with silos and proprietary ecosystems should enable the ADAPTe project to offer a more open, viable and adaptable solution to the hazards of industrial production.

In May, part of the R&D team travelled to Arudy to visit the Nexteam foundry as part of the ADAPTe project.

The aim of the visit was to discover the creation process of a part produced by the foundry and to present the research work to the consortium.
